The Milke Danda trek is an extraordinary trekking tour for the breathtaking flower sceneray. It offers each spring and also for the superb mountain views.It is a"must do in life" trip for all the lovers of flowers and nature.Densely forested with rhododendron flowers, Milke Danda is a long, high ridge that divides the Arun & Tamur river Valleys in eastern Nepal. It lies between the altitudes of 2580 m and 3580m but on our Milke Danda trek we will climb to 3124 m only. The Milke Danda trek is a beautiful walk through a region of undisturbed floral beauty, forest landscapes and Himalayan wilderness. Combined with superb views of world's highest mountains -Kanchanjunga(8586 m), Makalu(8463 m ) and Everest (8848 m) we explore remote regions inhabited by Sherpas , Rai and Brahmins communities of Nepal. The ridge has great ecological variation ranging from the sub tropical forests to alpine vegetation and is renowned for having the highest diversity of Nepalese rhododendron flower species. Every spring the whole forest blooms with rhododendron of different colures, mostlly red and pink, creating a rare spectacle anywhere on earth.
Trip Itierary
Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu, transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Full day sightseeing in Kathmandu city (B)
Day 03: Drive to Dharan (B.L.D)
Day 02: Drive to Basantapur (2200m) (B.L.D)
Day 03: Basantapur (2200m) to Chauki (2700m) tent camp (B.L.D)
Day 04: Chauki to Guphapokhari (2930m) tent camp (B.L.D)
Day 05: Exploration around Milke Danda (3124m) tent camp (B.L.D)
Day 06: Guphapokhari (2930m) to Nundhaki tent camp (B.L.D)
Day 07: Nundhaki to Siddha Pokhari tent camp (B.L.D)
Day 08: Siddha Pokhari to Kharang tent camp (B.L.D)
Day 09: Kharang to Tumlingtar (B.L.D)
Day 10: Fly from Tumlingtar to Kathamndu (B)
Day 11: Final departs to your destination. (B)
