Helambu Trek is a fairly popular trek because it is close to Kathmandu. It can be done in a week, and can be done in the winter too. Since it is below 3500m. The highest altitude is at 3490m. The trek makes a circle through the Sherpa Helambu that is northeast of Kathmandu. The area is populated by the friendly and helpful Sherpa people. For the good views it is not like an Annapurna and Everest treks, but it is a good for cultural experience.
