The Langtang region is very easily accessible from Kathmandu. Most of the people in the region are Tamang whose culture, religion and language are very similar to that of Tibet. Beautiful landscapes and pretty villages make this a relatively easy and therefore popular trekking destination. The upper valley in Langtang is a grazing paradise, rich in flowers and grass and dotted with stone huts used in the summertime butter-making. Tamang heritage, Rhododenron forests, and smiling faces are the main highlights of this region. Once you are in you are walking through a preserved National Park area where, if you are lucky, might encounter with wild animals like wild boar, bear, barking dear, snow leopard and red panda.
