Rafting on Marshyangdi River is well-known as one of the best whitewater runs in the world. This is a complete expedition experience in the remote 'wild west' of Nepal.This solid white water rafting is a serious trip as the rapids are continuous, challenging and equally committing. The expedition offers a perfect mix up of adventure and natural surrounding and typical culture. As you raft through the river, you get to enjoy breath-taking scenery of tropical forests and traditional villages.
River Grade- 3 to 5 Autumn & Spring: Possible to Rafting
River Distance: 47 km.
Group Size: Minimum 6 persons
Day 01: Arrival and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Drive to Besisahar. (B)
Day 03: Commence trekking 2 hours to Khudi. Your expedition leader and guides will brief you and train you. (B, L, D)
Day 04: You have to be prepared to continuous bumping into the challenging rapids and it doesn’t stop after the 1st day. You have to run on these rapids and tackle the intense whitewater rafting for the next 5 hours. Lunch will be provided on the way and then continue descent to the camping site in the sandy beach. (B, L, D)
Day 05: We paddle down to Paundi where we encounter class 4/-5 rapids and plenty of grades 3. The rapids are more open and nowhere as powerful. We end the day at Bhotewodar, where we camp on the banks in the cave of a Shiva temple. (B, L, D)
Day 06: The River becomes very mellow and goes through a high walled gorge with birds and vegetation that can only be described as breath taking. We reach our take out point at Bimal Nagar by lunchtime where our transport is waiting to take us back to Pokhara or Chitwan or Kathmandu (B, L)
Day 07: Final departure to your destination. (B)
